Dog Park & Fitness Options

Hot Springs Village's Dog Park is a gated, off-leash park for well-behaved and healthy dogs. The site is approximately 1.5 acres of level open area and divided into two sections for use by large and small dogs. The park contains benches, watering stations, waste receptacles and shade pavilions. The Coronado Fitness Center in Hot Springs Village is a full workout facility with a fitness room featuring weigh machines, cardio equipment and free weights. A variety of classes are available: Yoga, zumba, Pilates, spinning and water aerobics. An indoor heated lap pool and indoor walking track are also on site. Registered massage therapists offer Swedish massages and deep tissue massages.

Situated on the shores of Lake Coronado, the Fitness Center is a full workout facility with a large fitness room, three-lane walking track, exercise classroom, a 25-meter heated indoor pool, whirlpool, steam room, sauna and massage therapy. In addition to the men`s and women`s locker rooms, two family dressing/shower rooms are available. Work out on the treadmills, bikes, elliptical machines and steppers while watching television or enjoying a view of Lake Coronado. Make an appointment with a personal trainer who will work with you to customize a fitness program or join a yoga, Zumba, spin, Pilates, water aerobics or triathlon training class. TRI-the-Village is the community`s annual sprint triathlon with a 500-yard swim, 13.5-mile cycle and 3.5-mile run. Register on www.DLTEvents.com

Coronado Fitness Center Classes

The Coronado Fitness Center offers a variety of land and water classes such as yoga, Zumba, spin, Pilates, water aerobics and more. Classes are available for all skill levels and are taught by national certified instructors. Class schedules are available at the Fitness Center or online at DiscoverHotSpringsVillage.org; select Recreation, then Fitness Center. Regular coed, drop-in classes are included in the daily fee. Some specialty classes may require registration and an additional fee.

The 25-meter indoor heated pool (from 3-1/2 to 5-1/2 feet deep) has five swimming lanes and a deep-water area (8 feet deep). There is an aquatic lift, in addition to steps, for safe and easy access to the water. The pool accommodates non-swimmers and swimmers who want to participate in aquatic exercise programs and activities. There are structured classes, lap swim and open pool time featuring water walking, play and fun swim. A wading pool is available for small children. Appropriate swimwear is required.

DeSoto Family Recreation Area

DeSoto Family Recreation Area

The DeSoto Family Recreation Area is fun for all ages featuring playground equipment, mini golf, and, basketball and pickleball courts. The playground, mini golf and basketball courts are available for use at no charge, but players must bring their own equipment. A covered picnic pavilion and charcoal grill are just behind the nearby DeSoto Multipurpose Hall and are available on a first come basis.
